Is this the end?

First, let me say that I typed for too long and lost my first version!!!! I knew I should have saved!!!!

Anyways, it is now 10:24 and the Red Sox are three outs away from their first World Series title in 86 years!!!!! Can this be true? I'm black and blue from pinching myself, so it must be!!!! The world may be crashing to a halt soon. I'm excited and scared all in one wierd emotion.

Let us take a moment while Boston is batting in the top of the ninth to comment on two issues. First, can these games take any longer? The world doesn't revolve around you Major League Baseball...hurry it up!!!! I have to work tomorrow morning. If I lived in Boston though I probably won't have to work. That is the second issue. The city of Boston is going to go absolutely nuts. Bars will be open 24/7 for a week, schools and businesses will close, people will run amock without any regard for the rules. This isn't just a baseball story, it could turn into a national security issue!

I wonder how real, true, die-hard Boston fans are going to react, their whole role in life is the lovable loser, being cursed. Now that is all going to end and they are going to be just like any other fan. Must be kinda a let down for them. Who it isn't a let down for though is Bill Buckner. The infamous man who let a ball dribble between his legs like me playing catch when I was 3, and lost the 1986 World Series for the Sawhx. His name will be cleared tonight in someway or another. Either they win and the misery is over, or they choke again and (let's not even imagine) lose the next 3 games also and a new person is appointed to carry the weight of the Red Sox nation's misery on his shoulders. Mr. Buckner is probably the happiest man on earth right now.

Okay, it is going to the bottom of the ninth...the moment is almost near, which makes me think I am going to grow my hair and beard out in honor of my new baseball hero Johnny Damon. Any thoughts on this?

Fox has to be loving this...They would have loved it more had the Cubs made the series! Those darn Cubs, you want to curse them and love them in the same sentence. They are now left as the only cursed team in sports...great.

Uh-oh...St. Louis off to a good start in the ninth. If I stay up for this and the Sawhx lose it, I'm going to be mad...Rolen pops up, one out...I love these shots of fans back in Boston praying and anxiously hoping for a victory. I'm sure that is what I look like while watching the Hawkeyes during big games...2 DOWN! Here we go...I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! FOULKE GETS THE GROUNDER TO WIN!! BOSTON HAS JUST IMPLODED!!!! Red Sox fans the nation over (including this bandwagon one) are celebrating only to realize that now they are just regular fans of a world champion team, no more curse to live on. One thing is for sure though, they will definately enjoy this moment for quite a while and they deserve it. Congrats. Later
